Lincoln Repair and Scheduled Maintenance

There’s a lot more to maintenance than what used to be the case. Times have changed, and technology has advanced. So when it comes to service, Coho has everything for your Lincoln sedan or SUV. Our tools and equipment, staff of experienced mechanics, and ability to access the parts you need all lead to you saving money all while leaving the situation with the utmost satisfaction.

Lincoln recommends that its late model vehicles be serviced every 5,000-miles. Scheduled services are essentially grouped into three categories: Maintenance Service #1, #2 #3 and #4, with the most comprehensive services coming in at 50,000 and 100,000 miles. Although your manual lists a detailed maintenance schedule, which we also follow, below is an abbreviated generic schedule.

Maintenance Service #1: This includes an oil/filter change and a multi-point inspection of your vehicle to include crucial items including: brakes, indicator lights, rubber belts and hoses, engine coolant, steering linkage, and suspension components.

Maintenance Service #2: In addition to everything covered above, our technicians will rotate the tires as well as inspect components like the power steering system, rear axel and transmission, control arms, clutch and exhaust.

Maintenance Service #3: In addition to the first two services, our technicians replace cabin air filter, as well as lubricate hinges, latches, clocks and weather stripping, clean battery terminals, and then check and lube steering, suspension, ball joints, drive shaft U-joints and slip yoke. And at 60,000 miles we will also replace the green coolant (yellow engine coolant is replaced at 100,000 miles).

Maintenance Service #4: In addition to everything above, our technicians replace engine air filter, engine crank case filter, and fuel filter, service the automatic transmission/transaxle. And at 100,000 miles, we will replace the manual transmission fluid (light trucks and SUVs).
