Lexus Repair and Scheduled Maintenance

Regular maintenance and repairs are not only essential to keeping your Lexus running at its highest level of performance, safety and reliability, it can also enhance your vehicle’s resale value. And when it comes to service, Coho has everything for your Lexus, including the requisite knowledge to service your car, Hybrid or SUV throughout its lifetime. We have the proper tools and equipment for repairing your Lexus, a staff of trained specialists, and access to an extensive range of parts required to maintain your vehicle’s safety, reliability, and value for years to come – while saving you hundreds of dollars compared to a dealer.

Lexus recommends that its vehicles be serviced every 5,000-miles (or every 6 months, depending on your circumstances and driving habits). Scheduled services are essentially grouped into three categories: Basic (every 5,000 miles), Intermediate (every 15,000 miles) and Major (every 30,000 miles). It should be noted that the actual scheduled maintenance checks will vary based on vehicle model, model year and mileage. Please give us a call if you have any questions.

Basic Service: This includes an oil/filter change and a safety check of your vehicle that involves inspecting crucial items including: brakes, fluids, steering linkage, and suspension components. Additionally, our technicians will check and rotate the tires, wipers, look for fluid leaks, and perform a road test.

Intermediate Service: This service, to be completed at 15,000-, 45,000- an 75,000-miles, is a little more involved and includes everything in the Basic Service as well as checking all fluids, inspecting the engine air and air conditioning filters, the suspension system, lights, exhaust system for damage, drive shaft boots, front and rear axle, ball joints and tie rod ends, transmission and final drive, as well as the undercarriage, and lubricating all hinges and latches, door locks and door weather-strips.

Major Service: To be completed at 30,000-, 60,000- and 90,000 miles, this service includes all the work above, in addition to replacing the air filter and cabin air filter, as well as inspecting ignition wires, the distributor cap and the propeller shaft.
