Kia Repair and Scheduled Maintenance

Before you know it, it will be time to make your next service appointment. And when that time comes, Coho has everything you need to keep your vehicle running at peak performance. Our Kia-Certified repair technicians have the tools, equipment and access to an extensive range of parts to protect your investment for years to come – while saving you hundreds of dollars compared to a dealer.

Following the factory’s scheduled maintenance intervals is also a great way to ensure your Kia delivers all the performance you love. Kia recommends that its vehicles be serviced at regular intervals. Depending on your driving habits, you should replace the oil every 7,500 miles and follow one of the three maintenance schedules listed in the owner’s manual; i.e., Level 1, 2 or 3.

Kia Service Level 1: This should be scheduled at 15,000-, 45,000- and 75,000-miles. It includes an oil/filter change and a safety check of your vehicle that involves inspecting crucial items (i.e., brakes, fluids, crankcase ventilation, electronic throttle, drive belts), as well replacing the cabin air filter. Additionally, our technicians will check wipers, look for fluid leaks, rotate the tires and perform a road test.

Kia Service Level 2: This service should be completed at 30,000-miles and includes everything in the Level 1 service plus replacing the air cleaner filter, spark plugs, transaxle fluid and fuel filter, and inspecting the suspension system, exhaust system, power steering pump, steering gear including the ball joints and tie rod ends, the transmission and finally the final drive.

Kia Service Level 3: To be completed at 60,000- and 90,000 miles, this service includes all the work above, in addition to replacing the engine coolant, timing belt, as well as the differential and transfer case fluids.

If you have a late model Kia and follow the factory’s recommended schedule, here are the inspections required for the first 90,000 miles:

  • 7,500 miles: Initial Service and Oil Change
  • 15,000 miles: Level 1
  • 22,500: Oil Change
  • 30,000 miles: Level 2
  • 37,500 miles: Oil Change
  • 45,000 miles: Level 1
  • 52,500 miles: Oil Change
  • 60,000 miles: Level 3
  • 67,500 miles: Oil Change
  • 75,000 miles: Level 1
  • 82,500 miles: Oil Change
  • 90,000 miles: Level 3
